Founded in 1975 by Chantal Lescure and Xavier Machard de Gramont, Domaine Chantal Lescure is still a family-run business, currently operating a 19-hectare vineyard. Located on the northern slopes of Dijon and stretching as far south as Meursault, the estate has practised certified organic farming since 2006.
After the death of Chantal Lescure in 1996, her two sons, Aymeric and Thibault Machard de Gramont, took over the running of the estate. Each year, the estate produces 19 cuvées from 35 different plots.
The estate's philosophy, supported by a passionate team, is clear: to produce authentic, pure wines that accurately reflect their terroir. That's why the estate uses viticulture that respects the life of the soil, the plants and their overall environment. The aim is to achieve optimum ripeness through naturally controlled yields.
Vinification is carried out with care, taking into account the specific characteristics of each terroir. The wine is matured on lees for a long period, using Burgundy barrels and 500-litre casks with a moderate use of new wood. The wine is bottled on the estate, without filtering or fining.
Overall, Domaine Chantal Lescure stands out for its quest for living terroirs and the production of authentic wines.
