The illustration of the 2015 vintage was entrusted to the German Gerhard Richter, born in 1932, a prodigious inventor of forms and pictorial techniques. Famous throughout the world, his work is based on the dialectical relationship between painting and photography, between figuration and abstraction. His work for Mouton is the result of a random yet skilful process that he calls Flux. The artist captures colours in movement on photographs, captured at the ideal moment of their composition: in the same way, a harmonious assembly gives the great wine, a living matter, its balance and its fullness.
