To make this Hugel Alsace Pinot Gris Classic, the grapes are harvested by hand and transported in small containers to preserve the integrity of the grapes. The grapes are gently pressed as soon as they arrive in the cellar, then fermented at controlled temperatures.
The wine is naturally clarified by the cold of winter. In the spring, it is gently filtered and bottled. The bottles are rounded off in the cellar, where they rest for an average of two years before being put on the market.
Pinot Gris is the most discreet variety in the region in terms of aroma, but also the one with the best aging potential. Hugel Alsace Pinot Gris Classic offers remarkable youthfulness, as well as promising maturity.
