Nose : Intense avec un bouquet de cerise noire, de mûre, de cassis et de prune, avec des notes de cuir, de tabac, de terre et d'épices.

Palate :  Corsé et soyeux, il présente un équilibre parfait entre le fruit, l'acidité et les tanins. Les saveurs de fruits noirs dominent, avec des notes de cerise noire, de mûre et de cassis, complétées par des nuances de vanille, de chêne et d'épices. La finale est longue et persistante, avec une touche de minéralité.

Vintages from 1959, 1999, 2005 and 2009 are particularly popular, as are the record-breaking 2015 vintages.
