Domaine de Marchandise, located in the Côtes de Provence appellation, has a rich history rooted in the region's winemaking tradition. Here's an overview of its history and development:

Domaine de Marchandise was founded several centuries ago, with its origins dating back to the Middle Ages. The first vineyards were planted by monks or local lords, as was often the case in this part of France. Over the centuries, the estate gradually expanded. The development of viticulture in Provence and improvements in farming techniques led to an expansion of the vineyards and an improvement in the quality of the wine produced.

The estate underwent significant modernisation during the 20th century. The owners invested in modern equipment, improved winemaking techniques and adopted more sustainable, environmentally-friendly viticultural practices. Thanks to these efforts, the Marchandise estate has gained recognition both locally and nationally. The wines produced here began to receive awards and praise from critics and wine lovers alike.

Today, Domaine de Marchandise produces a range of wines, mainly rosés, but also reds. The terroir of the region, characterised by its limestone soil and Mediterranean climate, plays a crucial role in the quality of the wines produced. The estate is committed to sustainable viticultural practices, including organic and biodynamic farming. This approach aims to preserve the environment while producing high-quality wines.

Domaine de Marchandise continues to embody the spirit and tradition of the Côtes de Provence, while innovating and adapting to the modern demands of viticulture and wine production.

L’article Domaine de Marchandise rouge 2022 est apparu en premier sur Riviera Cellars Wine Supply French Riviera.

Château La Mission Haut-Brion is one of the most prestigious wine estates in Bordeaux, France. Its history dates back to the 17th century, when the estate was known as Domaine de La Mission. In 1664, the property was acquired by the Lazarist Fathers, a Catholic congregation, who used it as a place of spiritual retreat and as a vineyard.

The estate is located in the Pessac-Léognan region, within the Graves appellation, renowned for its high-quality red and white wines. Mission Haut-Brion is a neighbour of the famous Château Haut-Brion, with which it shares a closely linked history. Over the centuries, the estate has changed hands several times, but its commitment to quality and excellence has never wavered. Successive owners have helped to enhance the reputation and renown of La Mission Haut-Brion wines.

In 1983, the Dillon family, also owners of Château Haut-Brion, acquired La Mission Haut-Brion, bringing the two historic estates under one management. This union strengthened La Mission Haut-Brion's position among the great growths of Bordeaux. Since then, the estate has continued to produce exceptional wines, both reds and whites, that are sought after by connoisseurs the world over. La Mission Haut-Brion is renowned for its distinctive style, characterised by elegance, finesse and the ability to age well in bottle.

Today, Château La Mission Haut-Brion remains one of the jewels of the Pessac-Léognan appellation and continues to be synonymous with quality and excellence in the world of wine.

L’article Château La Mission Haut-Brion 1988, Cru Classé de Graves est apparu en premier sur Riviera Cellars Wine Supply French Riviera.

Jean-François Decroix began his commitment to responsible production over 20 years ago out of conviction. Today, his estate offers only organic products free from additives. For Jean-François, the term 'organic' is not limited to a simple label, but encompasses a set of sensible measures throughout the manufacturing and marketing phases of the products. He pays particular attention to the length of time needed to make his eaux-de-vie, aiming to give the cognac a subtlety that lends itself to different ways of tasting it. Its pineaux and cognacs reflect its authenticity and its commitment to naturalness.

Cognac Decroix VSOP is the result of a meticulously controlled process spanning more than four years of ageing.

Vivant :
Established in 2018 in Chalais, south of the Charente, Vivant stands out as a pioneer in the production of 100% organic spirits in France, including cognac, whisky, gin and rum. Inspired by the approach taken by Decroix cognacs, the brand is committed to eliminating all use of chemicals, synthetic fertilisers and pesticides in its production.

To guarantee the traceability, certification and control of its products, Vivant has established an integrated agricultural chain, ensuring complete supervision from field to glass. The company cultivates direct relationships with local farms, making multi-year commitments and guaranteeing the purchase of crops at advantageous prices.

Vivant takes an eco-responsible approach to the choice of its packaging, selecting bottles and packaging elements that are assessed for their ecological balance, from production to recycling, reuse or eventual destruction. Vivant products are distinguished by their absence of additives such as sugars, colourings, food flavourings and texturising agents, and are made from agricultural materials of impeccable quality.

Founded on principles such as social responsibility and the desire to contribute to the preservation of nature, Vivant's approach is characterised by collaboration with local farms, a high level of craftsmanship and a total absence of additives. These aspects make Vivant spirits exceptional products.

At the heart of this project is the very first French organic gin, made from an exceptional Sichuan pepper tree planted over twenty years ago on the Decroix farm. They are complemented by coriander, cardamom, ginger, angelica and, of course, juniper berries indigenous to the Montmorélien hillsides. After macerating for 48 hours in organic wheat alcohol, the botanical blend is distilled in a Stupfler® still, renowned for the quality of its aromatic expression. This gin stands out for its taste, finesse and sense, offering an aromatic imprint strong enough to retain its personality, whether in a gin and tonic or in cocktails.

Domaine de Miraval is a wine estate located in Provence, in the south of France. The Miraval region was already used to grow vines in Roman times, dating back more than 2,000 years. Over the centuries, the estate passed through the hands of various noble families and local lords. It has continued to be used for wine production. The name "Miraval" comes from the Miraval family, who owned the estate from the 17th century onwards. In 1970, the estate was bought by the Perrin family, a well-known winemaking family in the region. The Perrin family also own the famous Château de Beaucastel, a renowned winery in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region.

In 2008, the Miraval estate became world-famous when Hollywood actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt bought it. The couple invested in modernising the vineyard and cellar, while continuing to produce quality wines. Miraval wines, particularly the rosé, quickly gained in popularity and international recognition. The estate has become synonymous with high-quality Provence wine. In 2016, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt announced their separation, but they remained owners of the Miraval estate. They continued to collaborate on the management of the estate and wine production despite their divorce.

In addition to wine production, Domaine de Miraval also offers luxury accommodation, including villas, which have attracted other celebrities and personalities from all over the world. The history of Domaine de Miraval is a fascinating example of how a traditional wine estate can evolve into a major player in the global wine industry while being associated with famous film personalities. Miraval wines are now considered to be among the finest in Provence.

L’article Domaine Miraval Studio By Miraval rosé 2022 est apparu en premier sur Riviera Cellars Wine Supply French Riviera.
